On the operations side, Michael Crosby has been promoted to vice president of nuclear operations and construction. This new officer level position will lead Santee Cooper’s efforts on the construction of V.C. Summer Nuclear Stations 2 and 3. Previously, Crosby served as manager of station construction. He has been with Santee Cooper for 26 years and has a PE license. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina in 1984.
On the finance side, Jeff Armfield will transfer to vice president of fuels strategy and supply. This new position will lead the strategy, procurement and management efforts of all of Santee Cooper’s fuel sources. Armfield previously served as vice president and treasurer. He has been employed with Santee Cooper 28 years and has also served as vice president of business services, director of financial planning and senior auditor. Armfield previously worked at Daniel International Corp. as a senior auditor. He is a CPA and he earned a bachelor’s degree in business and a M.B.A. from The Citadel.
The role of treasurer will transfer to Suzanne Ritter, in addition to her current role as vice president of corporate planning. Her new title will be treasurer and vice president of corporate planning. Ritter has been with Santee Cooper for 18 years, and has also served as director of customer billing, group leader of corporate analysis and pricing and financial analyst. Prior to Santee Cooper, she worked at Schleeter, Monsen and Debaker, CPA’s. She is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the College of Charleston.
