Santee Cooper organizes 'flash mob' to celebrate major milestone in energy efficiency

Santee Cooper today successfully conducted a 'flash mob' to celebrate our major milestone in energy efficiency. We have distributed one million compact fluorescent lights to our customers, and to share the

good news, we did the Electric Slide in flash mob style and surprised many visitors along Myrtle Beach.

We believe this is the first time a flash mob has been used by a South Carolina corporation, and also the first time a utility has conducted a flash mob anywhere in the country. It may also be the first flash mob staged along the Grand Strand. Rarely is there an opportunity to do something this fresh and innovative, so I'm thrilled the topic lent itself to something unique!
